Coin Design
The front shows Lady Liberty striding forward with a torch and olive branch, adapted from Augustus Saint-Gaudens' 1907 design. Since mid-2021 the back shows an eagle's head by Jennie Norris; earlier coins carry Miley Busiek's family of eagles. Struck in 22-karat gold, alloyed with silver and copper for durability.
